Bilingual Colombia

• Native English speaker or non-native English speaker with Level C1 certification
• College/University degree (before arrival)
• Between 21-55 years of age
• Mental and physical capacity to teach students and facilitators (adults)
• Clean criminal record

Preferred but not required
• Experience of having traveled or lived in another country, especially in a Latin American country
• Teaching experience
• Basic level of Spanish

Candidates should be hard working, social, adaptable, flexible, motivated and able to work independently.


• A Monthly stipend of 1,500,000 Colombian pesos to cover basic living expenses (about 600 USD depending on exchange rate)
• Courtesy housing for the first month
• Local health insurance in addition to stipend
• Free in country bank account
• A 500.000 COP bonus for completion
• A two-week, all-inclusive training and orientation in Bogotá
• Airport pickup and transport to placement site
• In-country safety, social and cultural support for the duration of the program
• Visa assistance and pre-departure advising (in some cases VISA is paid for)
• A personal, professional and cultural development experience
• 24/7 in country support


• A five-month, volunteer teaching contract in Colombia co-teaching high school or junior high students or teaching in a technical institute

•English class, conversations clubs, coaching to teachers, other activities
Vocational training, adults
•Monday through Friday (25 hours of teaching-related activities + 15 hours on site: lesson planning, meetings with fellow teachers, workshops, etc.
